This is one of the easy dips to make but also one of the most requested I get for the holidays and family gatherings.
Even those that do not like spinach devour this Easy Spinach Dip when I make it. So if you enjoy spinach dip you may want to double this recipe because it really is delicious and addictive.
This dip comes together very quickly but here are some tips that will help you make the perfect dip each time:
- Use 12 ounces of frozen spinach that you have let thaw and then removed all the excess water from it. You and this by squeezing the spinach through the cheesecloth with your hands. Too much liquid will make your dip runny and not thick and creamy.
- Don’t swap out the onions for any other variety, they will overpower the other flavors in this spinach dip, so stick with the green onions.
- DON’T USE MIRACLE WHIP! I know many homes enjoy this stuff but the spinach dips are just not as good with all the sugar in the miracle whip. Trust me even my Miracle Whip-loving sister-in-law only eats this with real mayo!
- Let the dip chill for at least two hours before serving. The Knorr Vegetable Mix needs time to reconstitute the veggies in the mix and this allows all the flavors to mingle well.
- Serve cold with raw veggies, crusty bread, crackers, pretzels, etc.
