My Personal Thoughts and Review:
My Daughter’s Legacy is a unique book in my opinion because it is written in dueling time periods. The two female lead characters are distantly related and their stories are nicely woven together throughout the book. The authors use alternating chapters to tell each woman’s story. At first I wasn’t sure I would like that but in the end, I did enjoy the way the authors laid the chapters out and how well the characters were developed in the chapters. I found that the seemingly separate, yet intertwined, stories were very interesting and easy to follow.
The storyline is mainly a historical fiction with a tad bit of mystery mixed in here and there so that added some nice twists. Although I enjoyed this book, without reading the others in the series, I found myself wishing I had read the others in the series first. However, that is just my personal feelings as the book could easily be enjoyed without reading any of the earlier books.
About the Authors:
I am a southern girl through and through that loves to laugh, cook, read and spend time with family. My passions outside of home schooling my son are ministering to those in need and creating art in the kitchen! Every day is an adventure in our little house and I wouldn’t trade it or the chance to share here with you for anything!
