About This Book:
Can this undercover agent save the woman he loves–or is her heart as counterfeit as the money he’s been sent to track down?
After all that Grandfather has sacrificed to raise her, Theresa Plane owes it to him to save the family name–and that means clearing their debt with creditors before she marries Edward Greystone.
But when one of the creditors’ threats leads her to stumble across a midnight meeting, she discovers that the money he owes isn’t all Grandfather was hiding. And the secrets he kept have now trapped Theresa in a life-threatening fight for her home–and the truth.
After months of undercover work, Secret Service operative Broderick Cosgrove is finally about to uncover the identity of the leader of a notorious counterfeiting ring. That moment of triumph turns to horror, however, when he finds undeniable proof that his former fiance is connected.
Can he really believe the woman he loved is a willing participant? Protecting Theresa and proving her innocence may destroy his career–but that’s better than failing her twice in one lifetime.
They must form a partnership, tentative though it is. But there’s no question they’re both still keeping secrets–and that lack of trust, along with the dangerous criminals out for their blood, threatens their hearts, their faith, and their very survival.

My Personal Thoughts And Review of Counterfeit Love
This is my first time reading a book by this author and I’ll say right off the top, I thoroughly enjoy it! No sense in making you wait until the end for that tidbit, right?
I am a huge reader, I love having a pile of books on my bedside table, sometimes I have two lol. But there is nothing I dislike more than books that take forever to get the story going.
Some books I’ve read and even shared with you here, drag out for many chapters before they even get to the main story and the “action” but not Counterfeit Love.
I was thrilled and hook from the very first page because the author dove right into an active scene that help set up the store line that was to come.
It didn’t take me more than a paragraph or two to fall in line with Theresa, the leading lady, nor did it take me long to dislike some others (I’ll keep that a secret for now, but I bet if you read it you’ll be able to see who and why lol).
The author does a great job of showing the character’s personalities and bringing them to life on paper. I love the way she writes and developed her characters and that’s saying a lot since I’m kind of picky in those areas.
This book combines a lot of things I like including historical settings and time appropriate happens, strong characters, mystery, a longing to read just one more chapter, and of course a little romance.
How could a book that has all those go wrong? I’m sure it could but not in this book thankfully.
I thought had the “bad guy” figured out, then it shook things up a bit, then finally confirmed my suspicions, in the end, lol so the plot is one that will keep you guessing and interested enough to keep reading. You’ll really want to find out if your guesses are correct or not.
The book does feature a Christain undertone and the characters often speak of faith, prayer, and belief during times that are both trying and scary.
I love Christain novels so that made me even more pleased with how this storyline went and followed both their times of doubt and their times of overcoming faith.
All in all, this was a great book that I would recommend to any that loves historical fiction. It is one that will not disappoint or leave you longing for answers. It will, however, leave you longing for the next book in this series by the author. (
That book is called Counterfeit Hope and comes out in 2023, boo for the long wait, but I know it will be worth it when it comes out. I was already intrigued by the sample chapter at the back of this book.
